Pauline Whitfield Scott born June 14, 1941, in Brooks County, (Quitman) Georgia.
Pauline was a nice and loving person. She demonstrated kindness to all who knew her. However, her family will tell you, never take her kindness for weakness. Pauline was a very strong, independent woman. She had the courage not to back down from a decision she made.
On Tuesday, November 15, 2016, Pauline never said “I’m leaving”, she never said good-bye; she was gone before we knew it and only God knows why. In life, her family loved her dearly; in death they love her still, in their hearts she holds a place that no one could ever fill.
She is preceded in death by her mother: Mamie Lee Whitfield Brooks.
Pauline leaves to cherish her memories, her one and only son: Charles Whitfield; three sisters: Sarah Jenkins, Dorothy Benfalih (Ralph), and Rosa Brooks; two brothers: Leroy Brooks, Jr. (Nollie) and Joe E. Brooks (Delores); one uncle: Henry Whitfield; one aunt: Ollie Mae Whitfield; special cousins: Samuel B. Whitfield and Aurelius Whitfield; special friends: The Sanders family; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
The celebration of life for the late Mrs. Pauline Whitfield Scott will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 1:00pm in the Godfrey Funeral Home Chapel.
Rev. Bertrum Whitfield will officiate.
