Reba Burse was born December 26, 1933 in Ethel, Arkansas to the late Addie and Mary Harris.
Only once in your life will someone so special walk in front of you and prepare the way for a better future. Only once will you have the opportunity to be loved by some who could never love you too much. That was Reba. She was humble, giving, and loving. Though humble, she was also strong and firm. She had the courage not to back down from a decision she made and stood firm in beliefs.
Reba believed in God. She received Christ at an early age and was a member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Dewitt, AR, where the late W.C. Marshall served as pastor.
Realizing the importance of family and the seriousness of her health, Reba relocated to Valdosta in September, 2005.
The Lord granted Reba eternal rest, Friday, February 21, 2014.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by nine brothers and three children.
Reba leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters: Dianne Holloway (Julious) of Valdosta, GA and Beverly A. Burse of Jacksonville, AR; one sister: Annir Lee London of Dewitt, AR; four grandchildren: Kevin Cohns and Terrance Mason (Melissa) of Dewitt, AR, Jerica and Julious Holloway III of Valdosta, GA; and a host great-grandchildren, nieces, cousins and friends.
The homegoing celebration for the late Mrs. Reba Burse will be held Thursday, February 27, 2014 at 12:00pm in the Godfrey Funeral Home Chapel.
Pastor J. Bernard Braswell II will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
