Rosa Lee Walker

Ms. Rosa “Rose” Lee Walker passed this life on    October 16th, 2020.   Rose was born June 14,1942 to the late Sanfust, Sr. and the late  Clara Mae Tumbling in Tifton, GA.   She was educated in the Tift County School System.  She was a member of St. Lukes Freewill Baptist Church of Lake Park, GA.  Rose was united in matrimony to the late Joseph Sie Walker and of this union came three sons: Joseph D. Walker of Seattle WA,   Lorenzo T. Walker (Stephanie) of Valdosta, GA, and  Gary L. Walker of Rochester, NY.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers: Sanfust Tumbling Jr., Eugene Tumbling (Boot),  Marion Tumbling,  and  Nathaniel Tumbling.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her three sons; her seven grandchildren: Thressa M. Walker, Jovonn J. Walker (Demetria), Thomas R. Walker, Lorenzo S. Walker, Quentin S. Walker, Jahmarcus A. Walker and Gary L. Walker Jr.; her seven great-grandchildren: Jayshawn, Jariyah, Joseph Jr., Ja'Colby, Christian, Noel and Lorenzo Jr; her long time companion: Willie McGruder; three sisters: Gracie Craig of Atlanta, Mary Ann Banks (Johnny) of Jonesboro and Annie Clara Baker of Valdosta; two brothers: Elijah Tumbling of Jones-boro and John L. Tumbling (Lisa) of McDonough; god-daughter Carrie Chaney-Brown; three special nieces: Tamonika Baker, Angela Brown, and Tracy Stallings; three special nephews: Tommy Tumbling, Tomas Baker and Micheal Robinson;  and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A graveside service for the late Ms. Rosa Lee Walker will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2020, 11:00 a.m., at the Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 3835 White Water Road, Valdosta.

Public viewing will be Friday, October 30th, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Godfrey Funeral Home.

All those who wish to pay their respect in person must wear a mask during visitation and at the gravesite.
