Roy Bernard Mitchell, Sr.

Roy Bernard Mitchell, Sr. was born on August 24, 1958, in Valdosta, GA, to the late Robert Mitchell, Sr. and Eddie Mae Wade Mitchell.

He received his education through the Valdosta City School System and was a proud graduate of the Valdosta High School Class of 1976. He loved supporting his Wildcats and traveling. He also served on the tailgate club.

On Saturday, April 7, 2018, the Lord called Roy home and he is now at rest.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert Mitchell, Sr. and Eddie Mae Mitchell; two daughters: Danitra and Diedra Mitchell; one brother: Robert Mitchell, Jr., and one sister: Minnie Ruth Mitchell.

Roy leaves to cherish his memories, three children: Roy Mitchell, Jr. (Tera) of Tampa, FL; Stedmond Wade Mitchell and Ranesha White- Mitchell both of Valdosta, GA; four grandchildren: Reagan Mitchell of Tampa, FL, Amori Brooks, Dee’Shaun Davis, and Jahari Mitchell all of Valdosta, GA; aunts and uncles: Mary Reese, Betty Campbell (Daniel), Hattie Mae Wade, Lois Wade, Johnny Wade (Alma), Dock Wade (Lavern); one niece: Monica Ceaser; two nephews: Issac Ceaser and James Ceaser; seven special cousins: Jerry Smith (Jearline), Chasity Sullivan (Michael), Tonya Reese, Mary Ann Morrison (Adrian), Diane Weldon, Gary Campbell (Sonja), and Jerome Wade (Shonette); special friends: Vickey France, Willie Newberry (Van), Eddie Young (Patricia), George Gregory; Herbert Holmes (Faye), David Sumner (Allison), and Wanda Denson; and a host of extended family and friends.

The Celebration of Life for the late Mr. Roy B. Mitchell, Sr. will be Sunday, April 15, 2018, 4:00 P.M., from the sanctuary of New Life Ministries, 5651 Inner Perimeter Road, Valdosta, GA.

Interment will follow in the Bethel Memorial Gardens, Bellville, FL
