Sandra Louise Moore

Sandra Louise Moore was born January 6, 1953, in Valdosta, Georgia, to Mr. Theodore Alderman and the late Mrs. Netha Hadley McCastle. She received her education in the Valdosta City School System and was a proud member of the graduating Class of 1971.

Sandra was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Her smile and laughter was a source of joy. There was love in everything she would do to make her family and friends life worthwhile. Her works were warm and wise. In her embrace was kindness and compassion.

Recognizing her gifting as a nurturer, Sandra obtained her nursing license from Valdosta Technical College and became certified in both the states of Georgia and Louisiana. She was a giver of herself and considered her own desires last. When not caring for her family and friends, Sandra could be found demonstrating her creative skills as decorator, in the kitchen baking biscuits that would melt in your mouth or utilizing her teaching skills. Sandra was a giving, self-less, woman of God. She will always be remembered for her caring heart and loving ways.

A heartwarming smile was hers until the Lord called her unto eternal rest, Wednesday, September 12, 2018.

In addition to her mother, Netha Hadley McCastle, she is preceded in death by two brothers: Alexander Woods and Ronnie Alderman; and her grandmother, Emma Guess.

Sandra leaves fond cherished memories to her husband: Frank L. Moore of Houston, TX and her three beloved children: Tiffany Baker of Atlanta, GA, Corey Webber of Slidell, LA, and Whitney (Carl) Gilmore of Houston, TX; father: Theodore A. Alderman; sisters: Linda Kier, Carol McCastle, Imogene (Tony) Hezekiah, Phylas (Herbert) Nesmith, all of Valdosta, GA, Cynthinan (Thomas) Alderman-Gentry of Atlanta, GA, and Wilma (Reginald) Alderman-Gardner of Detroit, MI; brothers: James Howell, Michael McCormick, Charles (Betty) McCastle, all of Valdosta, GA, Carl (Pat) McCastle of Atwater, CA, Larry Alderman of Detriot, MI, and Theo Alderman, Jr. of Detroit, MI; two grandchildren: Arianna Webber and Penelope Webber of Slidell, LA; a special nephew: Letrone Russell; special niece: Nikki Tiller; special friend: Andrea Trouillier Lane; best friends: Delphine, Brenda, Johnnie Mae, Margie, and Linda; and a host of family and friends.

The Celebration of Life for the late Mrs. Sandra Louise Moore will be Saturday, September 22, 2018, 10:00 a.m., from the sanctuary of Southside Church of Christ, 1198 Old Statenville Road, Valdosta.

Bro. John W. Iverson, Sr. is Minister and Bro. Rozell Orr will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Southview Cemetery.

Public viewing will Friday, September 21, 2018, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Godfrey Funeral Home.
