Gerald Anthony Brown was born May 17, 1960 in Omaha, Nebraska to Loretta Brown and Maret T. Brown, Sr.
Being the son of an Airmen, Gerald lived a life filled with adventure and travel which he loved most and also caused him to enlist into the United States Air Force and answer the call of his Nation. His teachings from his parents and the Air Force shaped and molded him into a man of integrity. Gerald understood, that a good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, and having favor is better than silver and gold.
Gerald was fun-loving and very competitive. In keeping with the Airman’s Creed, his mission was to fly, fight and win. He was indeed a Wingman, a Leader, and a Warrior who believed he would never falter and would not fail. His life’s motto simply stated: “The task ahead of you, is never as great as the power behind you.”
On Thursday, August 6, 2016, this noble Wingman took his last flight.
Gerald leaves his proud heritage and legacy of valor to his parents, Loretta and Maret T. Brown, Sr. of Valdosta, GA; one sister: Debra Brown of Valdosta, GA; one brother: Maret T. Brown, Jr. of Troy, NY; three aunts: Emma Harmon of Waycross, GA, Bonnie Grimes of Jacksonville, FL, and Aline Jones of Stockton, GA; two uncles: Elijah Brown of Waycross, GA and Sylvester Leroy Brown of Pueblo, CO; and a host of cousins, family, and friends.
