Shebra Rebekah James, was born August 13, 1964 to her parents, Phillip and Carolyn James in Lowndes County.
She attended Valdosta High School and furthered her education at the Riley Training Institute.
In her Christian experience, Shebra was a member of Beulah Temple Apostolic Church under the leadership of Dr. J. P. Miller. She later moved to Tallahassee FL and became a member of Providence Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Walter McDonald, where she faithfully served the Food Pantry Ministry with excellence and passion.
The Lord gently called Shebra unto eternal rest, Thursday, October 10, 2013.
Shebra leaves to cherish her memories: her parents: Phillip and Carolyn F. James of Valdosta, GA; two sisters: Mary Anderson of Bowie, MD, and Sundra Washington of Valdosta, GA; two brothers: Phillip James Jr. (Myra) of Weatherford, TX, and Jehoshaphat James (Vanessa) of Tallahassee, FL,; special friend: Houston Townsend; the love of her life- her dog: Toby; very dear friend: Hattie Anderson; four god-sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she loved very much.
The homegoing celebration for the late Ms. Shebra R. James will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 11:00am from the sanctuary of Beulah Temple Apostolic Church.
Dr. James P. Miller is the pastor.
