Mrs. Shill Ann Gilford was born to the late Annie Nora Gilford and the late Robert James Gilford, Sr., on May 10, 1963, Clay County, Georgia.
Only once will you have the opportunity to be loved by someone who could never love you more than Shill Ann did everyday. She was loyal and committed to her family and friends. She loved above and beyond measure.
She was always positive and uplifting, no matter her circumstances. Her laughter was a source of joy. It cured everything and healed the soul. If not her laughter, her sweet melodies would soothe your soul. She loved to sing. Shill Ann always had your best interest at heart. She was someone so dear and true. She was a blessing, a gift, a treasure like no other. Shill Ann was truly wonderful. She showed herself friendly. In her, you found a friend for a lifetime.
On Tuesday, June 22, Shill Ann was granted eternal rest.
In addition her parents, Annie Nora and Robert James Gilford, Sr., she is preceded in death by a sister: Brenda Gilford.
Shill Ann leaves to cherish precious memories: her husband: Rodney Lewis; two children whom she loved and adored: Franchelle Gilford of Valdosta, GA and Devin Lynn of San Antonio, TX; her sister: Velma Goethe of Valdosta, GA; two brothers: Robert James Gilford (Carolyn) of Ft. Mitchell, AL and Willie C. Gilford of College Park, GA; two aunts: Minnie Johns of Bluffton, GA and Josephine Johns of Albany, GA; three precious grandchildren: Benjamin Gilford, Khloee Gilford and Nova Gilford; one sister-in-law; a special friend: Dorothy Manning of Valdosta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, her extended family and friends.
Celebration of Life graveside service/interment for the late Mrs. Shill Ann Gilford will be Wednesday, June, 30, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at the St. Luke Baptist Church Cemetery, St. Luke’s Road, Bluffton, GA.
Rev. Michael Walker will officiate.
Public viewing will be Tuesday, June 29 th , 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Godfrey Funeral Home.
All those who wish to pay their respect in person must wear a mask during visitation and at the graveside service.
