Valerie Marie Carter

Valerie Marie Carter was born July 5, 1977, in Lakeland, GA to Lola Mae Carter and the late Wesley James Carter.

Valerie was a kind and friendly young lady. While in her presence, there could be felt love, joy and compassion. There was sunshine in her smile. Because of her caring heart, Valerie never failed to show herself friendly. She was a humble soul forever thoughtful and full of loving deeds.

On Friday, April 21, 2017, Valerie took flight on the wings of a dove and set out on her course for Heaven above.

Valerie leaves many cherished memories to her children whom she loved and adored: Montoria Jackson and Anthony Jackson of Naylor, GA; a loving mother: Lola Mae Carter of Naylor, GA; three sisters: Ora Mae Carter of Naylor, GA, Sabrina Inman of Moultrie, GA and Selena D. Jackson (Terry) of Adel, GA; four brothers: Tony Carter (Carolyn) of Valdosta, GA, Willie Carter of Valdosta, GA, Donald Carter (Cindy) of Naylor, GA and James Carter (Cathy) of Naylor, GA; one special aunt: Lavern Wade (Dock) of Lakeland, GA; a host of aunts and uncles: Mable Arnold of St. Petersburg, FL, Johnny Carter of Gainesville, FL, Carrie Carter of Lakeland, GA, Lelia McEady of Howell, GA, Marion Roundtree (Eugene) Valdosta, GA, Jeanette Flintroyal of Valdosta, GA, Lolita Arnold (Wallace) of Valdosta, GA, Loretta Lewis (Derrick) of Lakeland, GA, Daniel Campbell (Betty) of Valdosta, GA, Jerry Campbell (Florence) of Valdosta, GA, John L. Campbell of Valdosta, GA, John Lee Campbell (Donya) of Vidalia, GA and Ivey Carter of St. Petersburg, FL; her special friends: Curtis Jackson, Sharon Konold, and Debra D. The celebration of life for the late Ms. Valerie Marie Carter will be held Saturday, April 29 at 11:00am from the sanctuary of St. Lewis Missionary Baptist Church in Lakeland, GA.

Rev. Randy Jones is the pastor.

Rev. Ulysses Mims will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Charles Knight Cemetery.

Public viewing will be held Friday, April 28 from 10:00am - 8:00pm at Godfrey Funeral Home.
