Mrs. Willerea Wright Jones

Willerea Wright Jones was born to the late Theodore and Gladys Wright on August 30, 1937 in Lakeland, GA.

She gave her life to Christ at an early age while attending New Bryant Missionary Baptist Church. She married Mr. Raymond H. Jones, July 9, 1955. To this union four children were born.

Willerea Wright Jones was a woman of true strength and dignity who fought a good fight. Beautiful as a rose to see was the life she lived so gracefully. She made things precious by her touch, her selfless love lives on in each of us. Strength, courage, patience, compassion, class, wisdom, love and peace are all the virtues of Willerea.

She loved the Lord with all of her heart, mind, body and soul. She was a faithful member of Evergreen Baptist Church until her health failed.

Her faith remained strong during her illness until the Lord declared her course on this earth was finished. Eternal rest was granted to Willerea, Tuesday, October 14, 2014.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grand-parents: Odelia and Ben Johnson, Martin and Anna Wright; two brothers: Robert and Emory Wright; two sisters: Gladys Wright and Willadean Gillard; one grandchild: Kalitta B. Moore and one great-grandchild: Kaleb T. Jones.

Willerea leaves to remember her warming smile and legacy of love to her devoted husband of 59years: Raymond Jones of Valdosta, GA; four children: Dianne Hitson of Jacksonville, FL, Wanda Moore (Bruce), Kelvin R. Jones, and Renette Elane Johnson (Willie James) all of Valdosta, GA; four sisters: Loretha Woods and Beverly Copeland of Valdosta, GA, Maxine Brice (Stuart) of Accokeek, MD and Linda Preston of Fredericksburg, VA; three brothers: John Cecil Wright (Catherine) of Valdosta, GA, Billy E. Wright (Brenda) of Lakeland, GA and Jimmy Wright (Rita) of Alapaha, GA; two brothers in-law: Willie Jones (Bernice) and Albert Lee Jones (Emma Lee); five sisters in-law: Frances Rowe (John), Annie Lee Kirkland, Rose M. Stringfield, Hattie Smith, Ernestine Wright and Glorine Miller; seven grandchildren: Monte L. Jones (Hope), Rashida S. Linehan (Jim), Nikki Jones (Heather), Brandon Moore, Kenyon Jones, Lynca Thomas and Caitlin Johnson; seven great-grandchildren: Omari Hitson, Leilani Linehan, James Linehan, Ashlin Jones, Paige Jones, Kayden Jones and Amari Spencer; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The celebration of life for the late Mrs. Willera Wright Jones will be held Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 11:00am from the sanctuary of New Bryant Baptist Church in Lakeland, GA.

Rev. Jasper Daniels Jr. is the pastor.
Rev. Ulysses Mims will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Riverview Memorial Gardens.
