Willie C, Brown Sr.

Willie C. Brown Sr. was born to the late William King Brown and the late Inez Jackson Brown May 05, 1939.

He departed this life on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at Smith Northview Hospital.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife: Cloteal Brinson Brown; his brothers: Eugene Brown and William Zack Brown; his sisters: Aremae Sapp, Ada Brown Scott, Gladys Marie Bryant and his step-mother: Mary Alice Brown.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories three daughters: Laverne Brown of Somerset, NJ, Latonya Brown of Valdosta, GA and Jeanester (Henry Jr.) Gibson of Valdosta, GA; two sons: Willie Carsier Brown Jr. of Valdosta, GA and Eric Brown of Somerset, NJ; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters in-law: Lucinda Brown, Francis Brinson and Jeanette Gibson; two brothers in-law: Bobby Bryant and Lanist Brinson; a special caretaker: Tamika Hazzard and the staff of Lakehaven Nursing Home and a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 3:00pm from the chapel of Godfrey Funeral Home. Pastor J. Bernard Braswell II will officiate.

Interment will follow at the Mt. Olive Church Cemetery in Hahira, GA.
