Willie James was born February 20, 1942 to the late Mamie Adams and Warren James.

He departed this life on Tuesday, February 07, 2012.

In addition to his parents, Willie James is preceded in death by his grandparents: Mattie Adams, Henry Adams; and one brother: Warren Carter.

Willie James leaves to cherish his memories, his wife: Willene James of Valdosta, GA; ten children: Colether Conaway (Will), Wanda Thomas (Larry), Belinda Allen (Greg), Samuel Gibson, Sr., Roy Gibson, Willie James, Jr. (Keisha) and David James of Valdosta, GA, Stephanie Cleveland (Darryl) and William Gay of Homerville, GA, and Anthony James (Carina) of Fresno, CA; one sister: Amanda Gay (Willie) of Valdosta, GA; two brothers: Barney Wilson (Julia) of Valdosta, GA and Walter Wilson of Macon, GA; a special brother in-law: Jimmy Roe of Valdosta, GA; four sisters in-law; three brothers in-law; twelve grandchildren: Tracy Hancock (John), Malcolm Chipp (Rabirah), Felicia Jones (Tabius), Quaneata Allen (Terrance), Latoya Sherman (Robert), Deshon Allen of Valdosta, GA, Demonte James (Tameka) of El Paso, TX, Quinton James of Texas, Khadarius Cleveland, of Homerville, GA, Kenijiana James, Kenshawna James and Celina James of Fresno, CA; eighteen great-grandchildren; special friends: John and Barbara Crittenden, Brandon Burgman and Ben McMillian of Valdsosta, GA; and a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

The homegoing celebration for Mr. James will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 1:00pm from the sanctuary of Univeral Deliverance Church.

Apostle Naomi McCowan will officiate.

Burial will follow at the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
