Godfrey Funeral Home was established in 2005 by Mr. Randall E. Godfrey Sr., with the hope of providing the Lowndes Valdosta Metro Area and surrounding counties with a modern and spacious facility dedicated to providing personal and professional funeral services.
Under the management of Mr. Rodney K. Godfrey, Godfrey Funeral Home excelled well into its first year of business and with the assistance of the staff assembled, Godfrey Funeral Home raised the standard of funeral service in the Lowndes Valdosta Community and surrounding counties.
In October of 2009, Mr. J. Bernard Braswell, II, joined the staff as the Funeral Director and General Manager. Mr. Braswell brought over 17 years of experience in the funeral service profession. United together in providing personable and reliable service that families have come to rely on in their time of need, Godfrey Funeral Home has proven to be “The Choice of Families Who Care.”
Beginning July of 2022, Mr. Rodney K. Godfrey, Sr. rejoined the staff as the Funeral Director and General Manager of Godfrey Funeral Home, LLC.
Understanding the emotional as well as the financial burdens of the passing of a loved one, we provide pre-arrangements and pre-needs services to assist in relieving the stress of funeral arrangements to those we serve. To ensure families continue to receive the utmost care, we also provide after-care services to all families beyond the funeral services as needed.
With compassion, sincerity, and humility, we count it a privilege to serve all families in the spirit of excellence, while providing them with services according to their individual needs.
